A 21-year-old woman is due to face court charged with the murder of a man found stabbed to death and “slumped in the street”.
The 27-year-old man, found “slumped in the street”, had been living on Payton St at the time, Detective Chief Inspector George Radmore told reporters on the weekend.
Mr Adams had suffered numerous stab wounds to the chest and could not be revived.
“We believe there was a dispute within the street in the very early hours of this morning and that has spilt out onto the public areas and a fatal wound has been
inflicted outside the premises,” Insp Radmore said.
Young woman to face NSW court charged with man’s street murder
A 21-year-old woman was arrested yesterday on an outstanding warrant at a motel in North Haven, 200 kilometres from the crime scene.
She was charged with murder and refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court today.
“The man and woman are believed to have be known to each other,” NSW Police said.
Mr Adams’ family have been notified of his death.
“It’s certainly a solvable matter and something we expect to get a good result on for the family of the victim,” Insp Radmore said.
