The 27-year-old man, found “slumped in the street”, had been living on Payton St at the time, Detective Chief Inspector George Radmore told reporters on the weekend.
Mr Adams had suffered numerous stab wounds to the chest and could not be revived.
“We believe there was a dispute within the street in the very early hours of this morning and that has spilt out onto the public areas and a fatal wound has been
inflicted outside the premises,” Insp Radmore said.

She was charged with murder and refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court today.
“The man and woman are believed to have be known to each other,” NSW Police said.
