  • I am now 80.  My late (role model) parents were born in 1916 and women got the right to vote in 1920.
  • The literal explosion of positive change for women is a good thing.  It yields a prolonged time of good possibilities, hope and an attitude of martyrdom for most developing women.
  • However, I believe, in relationships and the public consciousness extremely little knowledge of, tolerance for and appreciation of the real male predicament surfaces when matters become contentious.  In the general population, I think, acknowledgment or empathy regarding either the equality or "patriarchal delema" in bonding sparks defensive fear of concession as opposed to historical knowledge and understanding.
